Located in the rolling hills of the Niagara Escarpment, the estate grounds of Halton Place was established as a place of celebration for the horse and country lover. Halton Place horse jumping and dressage facility provides friendly and comfortable surrounds for horse, rider and visitor; striving for and achieving among the finest quality standards in the world.
Today, Halton Place has proven not only to be a reputable venue for class ‘A’ jumping and dressage events, but has evolved as a beautiful setting for weddings, parties, conferences, seminars and wine tastings.
Halton Place invites you to help them tribute ‘sport and art’ from the horse and the country to the lifestyle it promotes.
The stunning acreage where Halton Place Horse and Country sits today has not always been the beautiful riding estate it is today. In fact, the property itself has a much more humble beginning.
Prior to it’s cultivation in the late 80’s, Halton Place was home to a successful hog farming operation and the property was recognized as the Davidson Farm. This hog operation needed the infrastructure capacity to the amount of 30,000 square feet. The mess was unimaginable, yet in 1989, Halton Place was purchased by a young man with a dream and a vision. Timur Leckebusch took over the property and 17 years later, Halton Place was ready to open it’s doors and grace the public with the first Halton Place horse show called the Oktoberfest Country Classic.
Timur and the amazing HP team at the time ran horse shows on the property for four years, and in 2010, the shows came to an end. Facing family emergencies in Europe, Timur had no choice but to halt the showing operation.
Now eleven years later, we are inching closer and closer to bringing back these stunning shows, and it is without question that Halton Place will be back better than ever with much larger things on the horizon. We are excited for what the future will bring. See you soon at HP.
